How It Works

2. 2Get an estimate or assessmentOur deterministic pricing model and rule engines produce a range, cost drivers, urgency and a recommended next step. An AI model only reads photos or quote documents and only speaks in hedged observations; it never sets a price or issues a diagnosis.
3. 3Compare your optionsUse the repair-or-replace tool for 1, 5 and 10-year views, the material comparison for your own home, and the quote comparison to spot gaps before you sign.
4. 4Connect with a local roofer, if you askWhen you submit a request, we score it (homeowner, timing, project type, urgency, photos, contact details) and pass your summary to one local roofing professional whose service area, roof types and availability match. Lifecycle is tracked: new, accepted, contacted, quote sent, won or lost.

Great Victoria Roofing is free for homeowners. When you ask us to connect you with a roofer and that roofer accepts the lead, the roofer may pay us a referral fee. Three rules keep that honest:

• Referral fees never change the numbers on this site. Estimates come from a published model you can read on the methodology page.
• We never rank a contractor as “best”. The quote-comparison tool applies only the criteria you can see.
• Nothing is shared unless you tick the box asking for contact, and we share with one provider, not a call list.

Roofing companies apply on the contractor page; we verify insurance, WorkSafeBC coverage and any RCABC membership before activating anyone.

After a request you receive a copy of your roof summary. If you asked for a roofer we check in within two days to confirm you were contacted. If you were undecided we may send one or two short follow-ups over the next fortnight, then stop. Every message has an unsubscribe link and we never send more than one message per step.
