A company is here if it has a base in or regularly serves the Capital Regional District, does roofing as its main trade, and we could tie it to at least one of three things: the RCABC member search, the BBB list of accredited roofing contractors, or its own website. General contractors, painters and siding firms that also do roofs are left out.
- RCABC and BBB are read from the registers themselves on 2026-09-28, not from what a company says about itself.
- “States on its website” is the company’s own claim, quoted as a claim. We have not checked it. It tells you what to ask for, not what is true.
- Established appears only where a company gives a founding year. “Over 30 years of experience” is not a founding year, so it is left out.
- “Not listed” means we did not find the company in that register on that day. Membership is voluntary, and plenty of good roofers hold neither.
- No reviews, stars or scores. Review counts are easy to inflate and we cannot verify them.

What to verify before you sign
Four checks, about fifteen minutes, and they work on any company whether it is on this list or not.
1. WorkSafeBC clearance letter
Shows the firm is registered and paid up today. Without it, an injury on your roof can become your problem. What the letter covers.
2. Certificate of liability insurance
Ask for the certificate, not a sentence on a website. Check the insured name matches the name on your quote and the policy has not expired.
3. RCABC membership, if claimed
Only matters if you want a RoofStar guarantee or the company advertises membership. How to look it up.
4. A written scope you can compare
Tear-off, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, disposal and warranty, line by line. Compare up to three quotes or read the quote red flags.
